Websense is web control software commonly used by schools, universities, libraries, businesses, government offices, etc to control and restrict users' internet browsing. Arguably Websense is a means of imposing censorship on web users; the administrators who use it would simply argue that it is designed to stop abuse or frivolous mis-use of internet access hardware, bandwidth, etc in an academic / business environment.
